Surf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA) is the state’s peak coastal safety and rescue organisation.
Millions of people visit Western Australia’s beautiful beaches every year – but while they look amazing they can be unpredictable and hide some dangers.
At Surf Life Saving Western Australia we provide essential education and emergency services to all users of West Australian beaches.
Woodside Nippers is Surf Life Saving WA’s beach safety program for 5 – 12 year olds, delivered across summer by WA’s surf life saving clubs.
With more than 24,800 members across 31 clubs, from Esperance to Broome, we can honestly say, we know the beach best!
The Woodside Nippers Program is an exciting new addition to the longstanding partnership between Woodside Energy and Surf Life Saving WA. A partnership that began in 2012 to help keep beaches safe so we can all enjoy them for generations to come.
As the largest Australian natural gas producer, Woodside Energy has been supporting the WA community for more than 30 years. Woodside Energy supports programs that create stronger, more resilient places to live and work and provide opportunities for those involved to learn, grow and inspire others. The Woodside Nippers Program is all about inspiring the next generation of lifesavers and supporting the thousands of volunteers who give up their time to run the Program.
Being a Woodside Nipper is all about keeping each other safe, making new friends and having fun.
